ZA Scripts

A secure prescription and sick-note issuance tool built for South African healthcare professionals — reusable medication templates, QR-verified documents and fast, professional PDF generation.

Data stays on device QR-verified documents Built for SA doctors

Overview

Generate compliant, professional prescriptions and sick notes in seconds — then share, print or revoke them, all from your phone.

ZA Scripts is a formatting tool designed around South African prescribing requirements — including HPCSA registration, practice number and medical-aid fields. Your professional details and hand-drawn signature are saved once and automatically included on every document you generate.

All patient data is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to our servers — your patients' privacy stays under your control. The app only needs a network connection for user authentication and document verification. Optional, opt-in cloud backup encrypts your data with AES-256 before it ever leaves the phone.

Clinical responsibility remains with the issuing doctor

Features

Everything a script needs — nothing it doesn't.

Reusable templates

Build a library of your most common medication combinations and apply any of them to a patient with a single tap.

QR-verified & revocable

Every document carries a unique QR code pharmacies can scan to confirm validity — and you can revoke a script at any time.

Signed sick notes

Generate signed sick notes with a date range, optional diagnosis and automatic duration — ready to share immediately.

Local patient list

Keep demographics, contact details, medical-aid info and allergy notes on-device — only a patient name is ever required.

Share anywhere

Send via WhatsApp, email or AirDrop, print with AirPrint, or email a script straight to the dispensing pharmacy.

Optional encrypted backup

Opt in to cloud backup and your profile and templates sync across devices — encrypted, private and tied to your account.

Privacy by design

Your patients' data never leaves your device — unless you say so.

By default, all patient records and documents are stored locally on your phone. The network is used only for authentication and QR verification. If you choose to enable Cloud Backup, data is encrypted with AES-256 before transmission and remains encrypted at rest — used solely to restore your own data.

Every document generated by ZA Scripts includes your doctor profile details and HPCSA registration number, your hand-drawn digital signature, and a unique QR code that pharmacies can scan to confirm the script is valid and has not been revoked. You can revoke a script at any time if it was issued in error — once revoked, any QR scan will reflect the updated status. For additional security, consider emailing the script directly to the dispensing pharmacy.

A template is a saved prescription you can reuse with a single tap. Build a library of your most common medication combinations — for example, a standard antibiotic course or a chronic medication list — and apply it to any patient instantly. Templates can be edited at any time.
